-for RPG games there are quest givers and monsters that you have to kill to complete these quests.
-for Single-Player missions in a shooter there are computer controlled enemies.
in both of these game types (FPS and RPG) there is a need for an NPC Creator. My first question was "are there single-player maps in SM?"
but I think the real question should be "will NADEO be making an NPC Creator?"

Re: NPC Creator
Frankly I'd be quite surprised to see much (if any) offline stuff in Shootmania - there are no one player races in TM at the moment with NPC cars, don't see why they would do any differently now?

Skilltest? Maybe, though, instead of having specific ghost replays as they do in TM-2, you can have pre-scripted actions you can insert with the mediatracker or maniascript or something like that to give the 'feel' of an NPC without really having one be there...although I don't know how pathfinding would work with collisions, which is a must in SM and QM, at least IMO...

Re: NPC Creator
then is QuestMania only going to have online multiplayer... they would not have to call it a "Role Playing Game" but a multiplayer Sword game.
they have to have Ai bots... and if so, they could have NPC cars too
this is my hope/wish/want/suggestion/idea... you call it what you want... I just want to kill NPC in SM and QM

Not for TM, but for SM i'd like to see Bots (and if they are created by players, you could play against different player types).Boumsong wrote:Frankly I'd be quite surprised to see much (if any) offline stuff in Shootmania - there are no one player races in TM at the moment with NPC cars, don't see why they would do any differently now?
e.g.Youa re playing against a clan the next week, and you know how 2-3 of there players play, then you could create bot's which use this kind of playstyle and train with your team against them on a closed server. (And if the opponents change the gamestyle, you are doomed ^^)
This is, of course, only valid if SM works as i think it will
