The Canyon car: speed/acceleration

Post by NBAA »

Assuming the speed in TM2 Canyon is measured at km/h;

Without boosts:

Accelleration
0-100 km/h - 1,54 sec
0-200 km/h - 4,86 sec
0-300 km/h - 10,13 sec
0-400 km/h - 17,47 sec

Dragrace
0-402 m (¼ mile), 8,46 sec @ 272 km/h
0-1609 m (1 mile), 20,53 sec @ 436 km/h

The car seems to have 6 gears ahead.
Top speed without boost? I think 700 km/h

With red boosters:
0-1609 m (1 mile) 8,735 sec (interpolated)
0-1000 km/h, 10,46sec in 421 m
Top speed of 1000 km/h

Airbrake:
Jumping distance (mountain bounce) from top speed 1000 km/h
3280 m with braking during airtime
4350 m with full power during airtime

All test done during a straight line on a flat track right from start with keyboard and recorded with Fraps to review the numbers.

If you make a curvy track, i guess you can measure acceleration for even higher speeds than 0-400 km/h.

Interesting stats NBAA - are these averages of several runs or just one single run?

Do you have 436km/t as the top speed without boost?

Do you notice on fraps what happens at gear changes? Pause in acceleration / small deceleration?

@ionian
1. It is several runs, and then given the best times.
2. 436 km/h? No, it is more than that. The number 436 above is the current speed reached at 1 mile distance.
3. For me it seems like the acceleration decreases a little bit during gear change, but it is not loosing speed.

I had to look up what unit "t" is, and apparently it's the symbol for tonne... which doesn't make sense here.

Going from your units to physical quantity:
distance/x=time, so distance=time*x, and x=distance/time, so x must be speed, and "t" is a unit of speed...?

But then you say you assume the speed in TM2 is measured in km/t, so that isn't right either, and it puts me right back to not understanding the significance of what you posted.
Help? :)

Oh yes..., lost in translating^^ Of course it is km/h.
In norwegian it is km/t.

I will change the post :)
Thx for telling me!
