[TM2] [LAG] annoying lag when in high popularity servers

Its speedtest.net, not .com, but I know I never had any problems with internet connection.

So what you're saying is that the game freeze for half a second every 5 seconds?
do you mean that the other players car jump around or that everything including the race timer on the bottom of the screen is freezed?
can you try pressing the key next to the "0" on the main keyboard, twice, to bring up the analyser and see if you observe peaks on the top graph? (well best would be to post a screenshot with it enabled when you get a lag)

I will upload a video of 30 seconds showing the chart (I used fraps, so I have less average framerate).

When I click *, the lag dissapears, so I assume it has something to do with the rank refreshing, but I would like a fix.

Its only noticeable at the first freeze. The rest of the time it also freezes, but fraps skips the freeze for some reason. Anyways, the chart still changes and you can see the timer moving 0.5 seconds more.

Hi xbx, the problem come out when a player enter the server.
I don't know if is right, but most of times when they use UTF8 or strange chars. (maybe a coincidence)
Some times i found it happen also in solo mode or editor mode when the music change on the same track, with no track change. It have a 0.5 sec lag, it seem a flash.
It can happen also when the server have 2 players, is strange...

Ah, just i'm here, if the server don't find a MAP it crash, can you add a check on this?
