I made a skin and others are not able to see it. We waited several tracks but it stayed all white. Also, I cant see other peoples skins. (I can see default skins, but some are white, and I assume those are customs). And one person said they could not even see my avatar, but its just the american flag. I have not even done anything to my avatar.
I approved consent for others to see my skin when I went to go into multiplayer.
Also, in the launcher under the gamer tab, I do not have the option checked to "ignore" other player skins.
why is this happening, and how do i fix it? thanks.

Re: My custom skin is not showing in Multiplayer
you need to upload the skin to some webspace and create a .loc file with the url to the skin.
So if your skin is called myskin.zip you need to create a myskin.txt file, put the url to it on the first line, for example http://www.mywebspace.com/myskin.zip then rename it to myskin.loc and put it with the zip file.

Why do I have to do all that? wouldnt TM's interface prompt me to do all of that?

Why would it? You can download over P2P--it's just slower to go from one computer to another, rather than a sharing site.

Don't forget the zip part of the .loc file .... It should read ' myskin.zip.loc'TheLegendOfMart wrote:you need to upload the skin to some webspace and create a .loc file with the url to the skin.

stopscopiesme .... the model WILL load eventually .... a .loc file just speeds the process up thats all. All the cars for TM1 on TM CarPark come with .loc file. It is easy to do and worth the bother

Re: My custom skin is not showing in Multiplayer
I read the links and I am totally lost. I guess I'll just wait until TM2 decides to load everyones skins. It's still not working and I've sat on some servers racing for a couple hours or so. I don't know what the issue is.
