When I try to pain the standard model of the car I've noticed some things: When I select a sticker to apply to the car (left-click the one I want) I cannot seem to change the orientation of the sticker easily. Right clicking doesn't seem to do anything. How do I rotate it so I get the orientation I want?
When trying to use the paint brush to draw detailing on the car left-clicking doesn't seem to even select the brush, much less let me apply anything to the car.

Re: Questions about painter
All right--so when using Trackmania's painter, you're going to have to throw out everything you know about painters previously.
Rotate = S/F
Resize = E/D
Rotate the car = right click.
Zoom the car = mousewheel/slider
Adjust FOV (super-zoom) = click-drag with mousewheel
If you're going to use the painter, and I recommend it, as it's -much- improved from the previous TMs, especially if you import the old brushes and stickers, but if you do use it, it's almost a requirement that you download Balmung's paintparts mod. Gives you -much- more control over where and what you want to paint.
As for selecting a brush, I just spam-click two or three times as there's no selection box. That usually gets me the result I want.

Re: Questions about painter
That helps. I couldn't even locate this information in the manual.
I'll just consider the spam-click to select brushes a niggle, but there is a conversion point where enough niggles equal a gripe.
