Blocks placeable at the water level, with sides underwater like 1 - 2 cm, to test aquaplanning
that would be soo awesome
Also some dried trees with no leaves would fit the scenery, palm trees, oasis blocks, dirt roads.
Narrow dirt roads on cliffsides would be awesome, especially with no rails at the sides, one mistake and you fall down. There already is a road on a cliffside, but it's made of asphalt, has rails and it's quite wide.
Trees with leaves also would look great, I was always missing a quick run through a forest with tall trees
Now we have to wait to MP2.0 for the block importer to be released.
What new block do you want to see?

Re: What new block do you want to see?
You got me thinking...
I'd like to see more Offroad blocks maybe even an Offroad style environment with Trucks or Buggies or a Rally car, Mud, Water, Gravel and lots of Trees and Rocks.

Re: What new block do you want to see?
This would be fine physics for next car: drifty, high acceleration, low high speed, but having more grip than united RallyCar: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0_H24xfkkM so oldschool...
Re: What new block do you want to see?
Tsssssss... these cars pivot/rotate/drift/turn at the center of the car.
We nolonger live in the nineties do we? We have that kind of physics in TMO-Rally environment

Re: What new block do you want to see?
Rally, was one of the first three env's in TM (Later called TM Original) and was the only one I didn't care for the physics in. I loved the graphics in it though, especially after adding all the new stuff in TMS, TMU and TMUF. Later I made many tracks in Rally but with a mod that changed the physics to those of Coast. I liked that better.
That early Rally environment was just that though (an early env) and physics in the Trackmania series has evolved so much since then. I would love to see a new Rally Style env now with new physics. They could do something really cool that could easily become my favorite yet. Especially if they got it similar to the physics like those in Dirt3 or something. I like the idea too of 'Drift' and 'Freestyle' type events.

Re: What new block do you want to see?
You can't really see that in the vid, but the physics are WAY different than RallyEnv - CMR2 cars are like a mix of Rally and Canyon, the speed and acceleration of rally, but the Rally car is likely to stop if you take it for a drift at 45 degrees angle, Canyon car tolerates this. It's difficult to explain, I hope you understood at least a little bit You have to play the game in order to feel the difference. The game is not free, but it's like 10 yrs old, you know what I meanzarexz wrote:Tsssssss... these cars pivot/rotate/drift/turn at the center of the car.

Re: What new block do you want to see?
I played CMR2 and it's successors. There have been eight new versions of that game since then including the recent Dirt3 and Dirt Showdown. From Dirt2 on the physics have been smooth and quite fun. To be honest I didn't care for the physics in CMR2 or the early 'Race Driver' versions of that game. Race Driver 'Grid' was good though.
This topic is really about blocks more than physics though.
I'd like to see more of the 'Castle' or Medieval style blocks in the near future. I liked the walls and draw bridges, motes etc. in Rally after the updates. The open tarmac roads were cool too. (With no guard rails or fences on them). Also the castle style block in the updated snow env were cool.

Re: What new block do you want to see?
@andrus: Yes yes I do know what you mean. I've had CMR2 too but I was (still) playing Sega Rally back then. Those cars rotated at the center too but, you know, I was used to that. CMR2 was all way too sluggish compared to Sega Rally.
@Demented: Grid's predecessor ToCa-3 had great physics aswell for all the different types of offroad series. I still play that evry now and then.
Indeed this topic is about blocks and as I've said "c h e c k p o i n t s" is what we need more of. And ramps

Re: What new block do you want to see?
Agreed.
I'd like it if there was a way to put a Start, Finish, Multi-lap or Checkpoint on most any block.
I don't think this would be too hard to do.
If you could select one of those and place it over any block and have it just 'snap' onto that block that would eliminate the need to have them in multiple locations in the editor and open up more freedom for creation.
