I fully understand that Hylis, I already said that I know that "technically the word can describe the idea of a every-man-for-himself fight"

But in North American english, it's exceedingly rare for it to be actually used that way anymore, even though that's actually what it means. In all video game culture, the word "melee" has basically been re-defined as meaning non-ranged weapons.

So just like these other posters are saying, end users are looking at the gametypes, seeing "Melee" and skipping past it because they don't want to play with no guns. Thus they are not even noticing that FFA gametype lol.

I do not think it 'needs' to be changed. But as a beta tester I felt it was my duty to point out this issue. :)

You could call it BRAWL ;) Or ARENA for that matter...

Honestly I don't think this is an important issue. But it's still confusing, but people can learn the quirks of shootmania :D

1) It's English, not english.
2) France is not in North America, neither North America leads in terms of lexicology.

melee is a FFA mode, every as rockets and 2 armors, first to x kills wins (or at the end of timer), this game mode was played a lot 2 years ago, it has been forgotten since :(
