Then, i don't understand why nickname is shadowed and italic in "Multiplayer Ladder", and not in "Solo", there is not $s in my nickname.

Well, it's debug time then ^^. As i am answering the question i think i have found the problem. I have variables storing the current state of the nickname (shadowed, color etc...) and they are not reset after each nick.

I think i will distribute my nicknames script.

EDIT: bug found and corrected, fixed at next update.

A RoR app eh? That's possibly a first in the community.
