I believe he said that the processing overheads etc were too high.

As in processor intensive so that it wouldn't run on low end machines.

Also, it wouldn't be fair having it as an option that automatically turned off on low graphics as it would be an advantage in some circumstances as you wouldn't see the light fade or get bright setting sunlight in your eyes etc.

would be a good idea that the MT had an external program, like adobe after efects, or to run it from some plugin for MT, to make it more attractive .... Image

Maybe he is thinking a bit about the world globe in the TM menu, which changes during daytime.
