Wait.
First, I am mature.
Second, did I hit a nations player while I threw an empty bottle outta my window?

Back to OP, why is United such a disappointment to some people?

well i can only speak for myself but i was lead to believe that United was the natural next step after Nations back in the day. But i was wrong in thinking that it would basically be Stadium 2.0. which ofc couldnt be further from the truth =P so in that way it was a disappointment to me. but really, i think alot of people that play Nations (even with buying United for the extra features) these days see the other environments as bonus-material and something some play for fun but perhaps not as serious as Nations. i don't really think people are disappointed about United anymore. it is what it is. some people prefer it, and some people don't.

I enjoy playing all the different environments in TMU, but prefer doing so with stadium physics.

I imagine that if there ever will be a free version of TM2, it will be much, much later when maniaplanet is finished. And the free one would have only one enviroment, and you will not be able to have custem avatars and cars like the full version.
How ever, I still can't see it happening.

Stadium is more pro but the way controls are set up i cant drive stadium correct with my xbox controller (the RT and LT are an "analog" stick so i cant break and gas it at the same time... (drifting is out of the question that way...)
I personally prefer TMUF because 7 enviros are better than 1 and the fact that they have a more fun atmosphere...
