Not showing Correct FPS in shootmania

Could you please upload your current configuration file (if it is not Default.SystemConfig.Gbx then the one you have saved in the Launcher) ?
Or post screenshots of the advanced video configuration tab, as well as the compatibility dialog.

Ok, there is not much to try with this config... everything disabled or set to low.
Except one, you have put 120Hz there. Why not 0?

Besides this I would think the configuration of the Ati Control Center is not matching the ManiaPlanet settings.
Perhaps you forgot to put both ManiaPlanetLauncher.exe and ManiaPlanet.exe with the same settings, everything possible to "contolled by application".

Since the HD5850 seems to have nearly the same performance as my GTX 560Ti, and I often have drops of FPS, even with lower settings, I don't think both can really compete with newer cards of systems you might have been using at the ESWC.

Please take one of your recent replays (also look in autosaves) and do a bench of it.
And please upload the replay as well as the results file, so I can also do a bench on my system with your settings and compare the results.

Additional hint:
Suprisingly you kept the audio quality to high? Although this is know to be buggy (normal quality is the right choice).
But it might not have any impact on the fps though.

I have to unburry this topic because after 7 months I still have this problem.

Is there an explanation for shootmania not being smooth at all with any fps cap? 125 or 150fps makes it feel like I am playing with 60hz instead of the 120hz my screen is locked to.
I tried my config on other PC's with similair specs and it worked as it should.

I hope someone can give me an hand on this!

Yeah, you are probably running in WindowedFullscreen mode which appears fullscreen, very easy mistake to make as it gives anyone horrible frame stutter while using this mode even on a 120hz or 144hz monitor. Be sure to change it from the ingame Display Settings

...I've had this problem since ever so I don't think it is my imagination or anything like that. Juse something isn't right with my specs or the game.

I don't doubt you at all, you would know if something is wrong. Hopefully you can get a response from Nadeo and maybe they can help troubleshoot some back-end stuff that is required to run the game smoothly such as certain API's such as Direct X files etc.

Maybe double check your drivers - (Chipset, USB, Mouse, Graphics & maybe even look into Flashing your BIOS and updating it) that last one is a little extreme but that might be something to consider if your motherboard can support an easy flash update.

Try so set sync to 1 ( works for me )
And i have my i-net connection in launcher set to 2mb ( worked for me and my friend )
Also check if there is no dust in your graphic cards blower, when lots of dust inside makes it much slower.

Hi dmf, thanks for your help. Do you use maxfps = 0 or do you cap it to any value?

My Max frames is basic setting in launcher is basic setting with max 150 fps
And the setting for 2mb i-net connection in launcher is to prevent overflood.

Also have CPU/GPU sync on 1 frame ( also important )
