Um nun mal einige sachen aufzuklären:

Keine Möglichkeit die Macher was zu fragen.

es gibt hier so ein system mit privaten Nachrichten... Tu nicht so, als ob du - oder sonstwer - es versucht hättest; ich hab nix gekriegt.
Blade und ich sind auf diese Weise eigentlich zu erreichen...

Also insgesammt 550 Planets ausgegeben.

du musst aber auch überlegen, was ein erfolgreicher manialink einbringen kann... Ohne Beispiele zu nennen, bin ich sicher, dass auch du populäre Manialinks kennst. Man braucht letztlich lediglich eine ansprechende Seite, ein linknetzwerk, konstant interessante inhalte, werbung und dann gibts eig immer leute, die deine sachen runterladen.

Tja, auch nur wann mann ein php-based manialink baut.

alles andere ist auch nur in maßen sinnvoll. Wer sich nicht mit php beschäftigen will, hat längerfristig mehr arbeit

I'm sorry but in english I can make myself clear a bit better.
The work isn't the problem but the system is. You see there is a huge flaw here. When registering the maniacode file with the install_map tag only the mediacode is "protected" or has its price set. If I somehow know the source of the trackfiles I can download and play them for free. The mania credit system only works on skins, where you "protect" or set a price inside the GBX file. Now, if I don't want or simply can't master php there's no way It will work unless I offer them for free straight away. I really don't care if I sell them or give them away but then the economical system isn't really going to work properly I guess.

Ohyeah and what I always forget to mention is that I don't understand why those maniacode files need to be registered in the first place. I understand you register your main page but not the code ones.

well, to prevent browsing the directory once you found it, you can place a .htaccess file.
of course, if you know the filename, it will be accessable.

With php you can for example somehow encode the name of the uploaded file, so noone would guess it. if your manialink requests it, you can simply look up the encoded name and continue from there on.

Of course you could simply upload your stuff on the exchange websites (mx, tmx) where you probably wouldn´t get coppers. On the other hand you could use the api to offer your mx tracks ingame, where ppl might download them for a few coppers/planets for the bonus to download them ingame. maybe they like your work and want you to know that with a little donation

it´s somehow the best way to claim prices. a maniacode for every (xml-)manialink page/every dl of course is a ton of work (and in MP a ton of coppers ^.^)

I have all my folders hidden fro listing now indeed but still. You have to agree that setting the price inside the product.gbx is always best so it doesn't matter where they are offered from.

This is the current situation indeed but then I might aswell ad a donation button on the manialink and keep offering for free. I don't really like depending on 3rd party hosting, libraries or whatevers in case of using your tools.

Sowas wie "tue nicht so" kannst Du dir sparen.
Ich bin mir einer PM durchaus bewußt. Ich weiß aber auch das viele die Plugins herausbringen auf PM's sehr allergisch reagieren. Weil sie mit Recht sagen das so ein Forum auch von Beiträgen lebt und vieleicht auch anderen weiterhelfen kann.

Aber weder deinen Forennick noch den eines Blade kenne ich nicht. Also PM fällt da schonmal aus.

Weiterhin bin ich der Meinung wenn man so einen Beitrag erstellt klickt man auch automatisch "mich benachrichtigen an", dann bekommt man auch auf jeden Beitrag eine Nachricht. So halte ich das zumindest weil ich ja auch wissen will ob es Reaktionen auf meinen Beitrag gibt.

Schade finde ich allerdings, das auf das wesentliche meiner Frage überhaupt nicht eigegangen wird.

So stehe ich immer noch am Anfang weil das installieren nicht geht.

nun, blade ist der autor des threads und co-autor des projektes (gut, wir stehen nirgendwo als ansprechpersonen, das ist wirklich ungeschickt gelöst.

Wie in meinem vorangegangen beitrag steht, war boxes in letzter zeit nicht so wichtig für uns und wir haben die sache ziemlich schleifen lassen.

Leute einfach mal anschreiben kostet ja aber eigentlich nix. auf einen laufenden thread zu verweisen sollte für niemanden grund sein, eine unfreundliche antwort zu schreiben; existiert kein solches thema, wird sich da niemand daneben benehmen würd ich sagen...

Um nun auf dein Problem zu sprechen zu kommen:
Ich nehme an, du hast
1. alles ordungsgemäß hochgeladen (tut mir leid, standardfrage - hatte schon mehrfach, wo es zwischendrin abgebrochen hat, nach einem re-up gings)
2. die installerdatei in MP aufgerufen?
3. 1. ausgeschlossen durch re-up

Hast du probiert, die installation über den browser auszuführen?

ach und der nutzer, den du eingeben sollst, ist lediglich dein frei wählbarer zugang zum adminpanel

Ich habe das erstmal bei Seite gelegt. Wenn sowieso bald was neues kommt und in dem alten Bugs sind muss ich damit auch nicht mehr anfangen.

der installer stand eig nicht auf unserer agenda da wir eher wenige fehlermeldungen dazu kriegen
ausserdem kann es sein, dass die updates wie geplant primär übers adminpanel reinkommen.
falls du eine weitere lösungsmoeglichkeit suchst wenn meine oben genannten nicht helfen, suchen wir am besten eine per pm und posten unser ergebnis dann hier

Habe mir auch einen Boxes Manialink (Zplanet) erstellt ,installation ging soweit in ordnung.
leider funzt bei mir die shoutbox und das gästebuch noch nicht (kein plan wie das maniaconnect funzt) und hier steht leider auch nix weiter darüber.
was ich bemängeln muss ist das zu keinem plugin eine installationserklärung mitgeliefert wird wer sich also nicht so auskennt ist schnell überfodert.
das map plugin ist auch fehlerhaft ^^
hätte auch gern noch paar mehr plugins wie z.b. counter , online user , serverplugin , schilder plugin , donate plugin

habe auch was von einem update gelesen aber leider noch nix gefunden ;(

das prinzip eures manialinks gefällt mir gut, wenn es noch erweitert wird und mehr plugins folgen werde ich dabei bleiben und auch an einigen plugins (design herummschrauben) was mir bei tm1 mit mml (zi) gut gelungen ist und was ich mit boxes gerne ähnlich umsetzen würde
