Same here, had to downgrade both our tm2 servers because of the huge cpu-usage.
I also noticed that the dedicated.pak of 19-09-2012 has exactly the same size (166.496.264 b) as the dedicated.pak of 07-09-2012. So probably the dedicated.pak didnt change at all?

I can confirm that this patch is crashing the whole server, as mine crashed already twice within the last two days.

Linux unknown.hostname 3.4.9-2.fc16.x86_64 #1 SMP Thu Aug 23 17:51:29 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Also I don't like that one has to run the server from root, very annoying and a huge security risk.

You don't - my test server runs from a regular user account.

Actually, it did: the md5sum of dedicated.pak is 533f8a5ea5bfb29c5cfe7ac7051bc767 in ..._2012-09-07.zip and 670741b0459beecdd4cd54c1c969b209 in ..._2012-09-19.zip

Didn't heared about md5sum before, but thats indeed a better method to compare 2 files then just checking the size. But considering both files have the exact same size it cant be a big change :D

First thing to explain : the logs are no written files, but they are generated, and, in case of lag, they'll be sent to us. So don't worry if no file appear. (we can't just write files on dedicated servers : they usually do not have writing permissions).

Second thing : the files often have the same size even if contents are different.

I'm checking right now what's about the version, and the lag issue.
Thanks for the log files, and really sorry for the inconvenience.

Some question that could help us :
- Has anyone with CPU-consumption issues tried the "NoLogs" exe to see if this comes from the log system ?
- Which Mode was running on the server when the CPU-consumption appeared ?

No problem Gugli, thats why this is still Beta :D

We had severe lag issues (97% cpu-usage) with our tm2 server running in ta-mode when more then 2 players were racing. Nobody but just me (and only in specmode) was on our ROC-server(running in rounds of course) so i cannot verify if the high usage also occures in rounds. But perhaps other serverowners can verify that the high usage also occures in rounds with more then 2 people playing ?
