don't be disappointed after that however

it is just that Maniaplanet systems are design to be compatible for the various titles. It will sometimes take a little more time for them to be adapted again to Trackmania, since we are in priority on Shootmania, but the most difficult part are done with the concept of multi games behind.

I appreciate the response Hylis. At least you have read this thread so you're now aware of what some of us are asking for...better wheel/pedals support. Doesn't need to be a TOP priority now, but hopefully it means it will eventually get much needed attention and not be forgotten.

@Isamu: Once you've found out you are many seconds faster using a gamepad or the keyboard, Hylis and the Nadeo team busted their behinds for nothing I'm affraid. :|

?

I don't care about being the fastest on the track. I care about immersion and driving with a steering wheel is much more immersive than driving with a gamepad, even at the cost of speed. I grew up playing racing games in the arcade where they had steering wheels, pedals and a stick shifter, and playing a racing game using anything else is unsatisfactory.

Yes, many racing games are awesome with a package like that. TM just isn't one of them because well, I always say, TM is more like skateboarding then like racing :D

I Created a profile for my Logitech G25 Racing Wheel that works very well. Feel free to check it out here: http://simracersgarage.com/tm2/TM2g25.zip

Hello Wanderpoole. I do not own a Logitech steering wheel, I use an ECCI 7000 FFB high end wheel. However, I am curious about something....using that profile, do you get any center spring resistance in your G25 when using that profile?

I use center spring and feel the resistance. It isn't as tight as some race sims but without it my wheel feels very loose. I think it helps me get the wheel back to center smoother to make the next corner. It seems to help me from oversteering when I have to whip the wheel back quickly.

For those not familiar with the Logitech g25/27 series wheels, they have 0 to 900 degrees of rotation, and sensitivity settings for steering. The pedals have sensitivity setting as well but it seems the throttle and brakes are just on/off, like on the keyboard. By manipulating the dead zones, sensitivities, rotation, and force feedback percentages, I am able to get a good feel from the steering and good peddle response. Like all race games and sims, you will need to make adjustments based on your own style and needs. Also like any other type of controller you use in TM, you have to practice to get used to it.

I have enjoyed Trackmania for may years now and have always used a steering wheel and pedals. In Trackmania Nations and Trackmania United Forever I can log in and enjoy myself with full support and can remap any button to my hearts content.
When Mania Planet first came along I could use that as well.
I have been offline and not used the game for a couple of years due to the world interfering. But I have now come back to is and Mania Planet no longer supports steering wheels even though i was sold Valley without a warning of the lack of Wheel support.
The issue is I cannot use the throttle pedal as a variable pedal and can only map it as the brake. The brake can only be mapped as an accelerator and only as a button which once activated remains at full throttle. This means it is impossible to drive with any level of control as you can never come off the gas!
I see Nadeo is aware but what are you doing about it?
To say it is not a hot fix topic is just wrong. I bought in good faith and cannot use the title I bought.
I have a Logitech GT Wheel. :pil
