and some sort of gradient effects, layer masks and vector fonts with a greater variety would be nice!

Oh btw, I'd like to get the "official" slowmo effect so I don't have to do it in my crappy way
(talking about ghost slowmo)

I think (and this is to placate the whiners--who probably won't post here anyway, cuz I'm fine with it myself) we need to add a loopcam-OPTION button...of some type in the game that disables loopcams for those that whine. I've heard a few people (not on TM-Forum thankfully) threaten to leave the game because the annoying (expletive) loopcams and other randomcams are throwing them off...

who's problem is this exactly?!Trackmaniack wrote:I've heard a few people threaten to leave the game because the annoying (expletive) loopcams and other randomcams are throwing them off...
those people are free to go where they want, and besides that all, it's the authors choice. another reason why it's practically impossible is that it would mean that all MT cams can be turned off, which is absolutely ruining all fun for different kinds of mazes or micromachines-tracks (or any other kind of tracks where custom or forced cams are necessary).
just leave those guys alone.

That's a typical case of "don't play bad tracks" which will become even more important with more customization options.
The problem is, how do you find the good tracks with such a simple server browser and lol tmx awards

Just visit the right servers i suppose, but that is not easy just by the names and descriptions.
It would be nice to have a "server karma vote" that shows the most appreciated servers.
But still, it won't be everybody's taste...
If you don't like camchanges, try tech

Oh, I'd like adjustable bloom (maximum bloom = same as white transition fade) too

But then of course, what I define as a 'good' track may be somewhat different from what you define as a 'good' track.Zooz wrote:That's a typical case of "don't play bad tracks" which will become even more important with more customization options.

EDIT: And speaking of that...I'm starting to understand why so many players love Stadium as opposed to the other environments...I was playing Mistral's server today...what's with all the platform tracks suddenly becoming standard racing fare, eh? Sure, I'm all for craziness, because that's what TM is about...but if my restart count goes higher than my laptime, well, then we start having problems...
