I agree with tcq, and anyway, I wouldn't expect much to come after Valley and Stadium, at least for a longer time. Wasn't the plan to have 3 titles per game?

Re: Trackmania ² United
Stadium will bring less totally new players than old players who still stick to TMUF/TMNF
Filipe1020 you should wait until there are more environments - sorry, titles - available.
But since TMUF somehow closed TM1, I do not want to see TM²UF for long time... because I want to have many more titles than just 6 or 7

I'm really sure they will make more than just 3 TM2 titles, TM2 Stadium is not considered to be a "Brand new TM game" anywaysTimmeh7 wrote:I agree with tcq, and anyway, I wouldn't expect much to come after Valley and Stadium, at least for a longer time. Wasn't the plan to have 3 titles per game?

i think it would be possible to simply kill the old tmu/f engine with a huge update or a full integration in the maniaplanet engine
but integration must contain:
- move all data from the old folders to the maniaplanet folder
- convert all old tracks, replays, autosaves, clips,... into the new format
- convert all 2D skins using something like a photoshop action to (a possilby) new UV layout (3D skins have to be manually imported)
- all the sites like http://www.tm-exchange.com/, carpark,... need a tool to convert all tracks/skins into a new format and should be able to offer you both versions (or just convert it right before downloading and then delete the temp file again)
if they use the same blocks, textures and physics like the original tmu engine it should be not that hard and time-consuming since they they have the know how to do this from "stadium 4"
would be nice to know how they brin stadium from the old to the new engine
i really like tmu as it is now (i´m a bad player there but that doesn´t matter) but i think it would be great to see how desert, snow, coast, island and bay would look like with the new awesome graphics and lighting
