Oh, ok, I was thinking Smart is a development from INSOMNIA Team...

Don't worry about your previous scripts, they allowed you to better known Maniascript and the next Scripts you will create or modify will be more efficient than the previous. At the end, the quality can only improve :D

And you already allowed players to enjoy playing on your scripts ^^. It's never useless !

Ps : Do you know if an HowTo or manual pages exists around ManiaScript in order to understand it and try to help the community ?

Ok, my servers have been converted over. They were getting an "Internal Error" last night (around 11:00pm Mountain through 2:00am Mountain) while trying to connect to the Master Server.

They are connecting fine this morning (around 8:00am Mountain), so I assume the client update is coming soon as well?

Also: Do we have a new API version to worry about using, or are we still on the same? (2012-06-19)
I connected fine with my TournaMania plugin fine and see:
ManiaPlanet 3.3.0 [2012-12-18_21_47]

So I think I'm good there.

I think he knows very well what i mean, but anyway:

You have to understand the context, then it will have to everything with his question.
He thought and mentioned that our INSOMNIA servers (which also serve as promotion and demonstration servers for SMART) are using the same especially for SMART modified scripts which we provide here:
SMART Modded Scripts - Always the latest version

I just wanted to clarify this to him. But it probably makes no difference anyway as, if the regular for SMART modified scripts and/or our own specially modified scripts (for beta 1) won't work with beta 2. Then we ALL will need to update/fix our scripts.

But as beta 2 is not online yet and noone can join beta 2 servers we can't check yet.

No, SMART is not a development from the INSOMNIA Clan (the main developer and initiator of SMART is called vni), but we are part of the developer team from the first minutes of SMART, we are main alpha and beta tester and our servers are (also) used for SMART promotion and demonstration issues so server admins can see what all is possible with SMART ... if you invest a lot of time :D

There will be a lot of tutorials, help-pages and maniascript wikis if you use google to find them ;-)

About the API, I compared both ListMethods from previous build and this one. I founded only one difference :
JumpToMapIndex
boolean JumpToMapIndex(int)
Immediately jumps to the map designated by the index in the selection
So it should not change anything :)

yamyam, you are right, I supposed your scripts were Smart ones ;)

I will try. I use to develop with PHP/C#/PowerShell/Perl/... but it's easier to find documentation or examples fore these langages than for ManiaScript. And comments are often empty in the Scripts ... Hard to understand well anything ^^

But if I manage I would be proud to help you :)

so yes, the smart, aseco, ...plugins should work mostly as-is.
I have to double check but I don't think I made many changes xmlrpc wise in this version.

I'm making an update for the version right now, to have the maps with correct lightmaps, and a few script changes.
And because there is a bug when running with the login on the command and not in the config file.
