At the end it was less than one day with this bug. What is one day without playing ? Nothing !
We can now enjoy the improvements and suggest you how to improve the game experience more and more
So ... now ... have a rest and be awake for all the feedbacks we will give you
Firstly, you should organize a vote about the new "pseudo-3D interface". Maybe there are a lot of people loving it. For me I think it doesn't represent efficiently the game. But it's my opinion.
I stop here. I will post my remarks on the appropriate topic ^^
Thanks for having fix this issue so quickly. It's a great job. You saved some gamers week-end

nobody loves that 3d interface I guess. old-looking interface with same fluentness as now would be awesome.

Honestly, those 3D thingies in the menu look quite cheap, I can live with them but I think there might be a better solution

The 3D-menu is acceptable but not awesome. It's different, but I think the older one was better. I am not even sure if they really are 3D models or just some sprites that have a "3D" effect. It also removes the replays from title packs. I had a cool replay to be played during the menu of my title pack Wastelands (even though you can't do much in the menu) and now it's gone, and has the same replay as all the other Canyon packs. Same happens with Storm.
If they decide to keep this, they should at least allow us for title packs, to change the mood and possibly colors of the clouds

you can chage the color of the sky in a pak
but there will be a a custom overlay as well
the goal is to reduce loading time
when clicking on solo, a replay can be loaded to give the feeling of getting somewhere, like in Raid campaign.
the 3D thing is a start, and as you may observe, it is a full 3D, not gimmick on buttons. It is for VR in 10 years :p No, there are reasons, so wait to see how it evolves. And people who says "nobody" loves or hate something are exagerating in a way I dislike

hi
the missing blocks......why would i complain about that you solved the bug in no time
i have a request. i have multiple folders in "downloaded" (downloaded maps that is) and when i quit playing a map i go back to that main folder. i'd like to stay in the folder i'm using since my maps are really categorized ( pmc, twl etc)... i'd just like to stay where i am (just like before the update).
i don't really know why you changed the menu i was ok with it. maybe nadeo loves carambars

Thanks for the explanation, and also for the excuse, Hylis, it is a nice touch for all Canyon players.
Perhaps a notice in ManiaPlanet itself, and even better, a e-mail to all registered players also should have been sent by the team, since probably many players don't ever read the forums and possibly also skip the ManiaPlanet messages.
"Dear player, in order to bring you the new ManiaPlanet Universe, we have to go for some changes which will effect the UI and other things. Please apologize for any inconveniences and be patient until we release it fully" or something like this.
Regarding the menu animation:
What about a nice and flat screenshot of Canyon or Storm or... This would even use less CPU power than the clouds.
I can hear the vent of my laptop going up and down depending on the cloud heaviness
eyebo: also thanks to you for the reference

But I only tried to do my "job" here

Or, since Nadeo reintroduced Bink videos with Beta2, a video of the original replay, like in TmSunrise? I assume this is also much less resource taking than rendering one...

Please show me where I could have read that Wednesday 19-2012 between 20:00h and 21:00h Vulcan Timezone
