I gifted this game to 2 of my friends last year.
Just type in your own email as the gift-adress.
Works like a charm.

Damned local network not activated at the moment in trackmania2
Well we can still play together on a multiplayer server.
I hope it get added soon because that was one of the reasons we bought the game (lan)

Things that not work:

local network (lan)
the buddy system is not working we added eachother but we show offline.
Benchmark tool not working

You might want to check all the reports that other users have already made
The local network play will be restored probably with or after ShootMania release.
