Skins randomly dissapear , i also experience it.
Temp workaround is selecting the skin every time you start the game

Locator files are working maybe, but reset every session.

Please add option for complete noobies to select whatever skin they like? It can be easy now external host like dbox is an options. Place download > select - easy as plop

You can just use the skins provided with the game, those are visible for all, but custom skins have to be sent over the internet and it not going thru the server as that would create huge data usage. You send it yourself instead (act as your own server) thus you need opened ports.

I tried default models & Maniapark ones, same no workie.
Only dev can fix and having to supply 400 beers per hour to workie is getting too much!

It isn't technically efficient at all as models and textures aren't very small files like minecraft skins (which is a very very small image file)..
