My tracks (simple, easy, noob... etc etc) are played on roc since Trackmania Nations Forever... years ago !
Mr.Laurens can explain because now my tracks are.... ''not sufficient roc level'' ?
It's not only Laurens who decided that those maps are not of sufficient RoC level.
We want to go a new way with this, by making sure that all RoC maps are of sufficient level (and yes, of course that might be a bit judgemental, but because we are with more than one we can make a good decision).

I don't find that good, you should allow also that less leveled maps, because these maps have got that special style that they like, or well, maps where less leveled players got more chances. CN team has always played that kind of maps at ROC and they like to play them, so it's not fair not to let them keep on playing them. Moreover, who cares for level?! You must care for FUN !! And many people have fun with that maps. Now they won't have them, they will stop ROC.
You mustn't let this to happen, just reconsider that, and allow again these maps many people have fun with ... if you won't reconsider that, I don't waste more time on this topic anymore.

If something has been the same always, that doesn't mean that we can't change it. We care about fun, but the main consideration does is some level of driving as it remains the Race of
Champions. This is not just a place where everyone can drive, it's a place were you can compete for the top ranks in the ladder. That's why we feel that there should be some restrictions, on maps as well.

We have made this decision and we are not going to reconsider it. On the maps which are allowed you can have fun as well (you can always have fun on every map) and they give some level of experience.

The most played maps by the top 50 are now the less competitive, so rejected... (paradoxe)
Maps can either be relatively easy or hard... the competition level will be the same... In one side you fight to reach top position and in the other too...
To say more, In ""easy"" maps it is harder to keep the level since you can get overtaken if you distract... In hard maps you are done if you loose 0.3 in one turn... less competitive i would say...
Could someone explain to me why Nirvana of Noise is still in the mappool then? a 6 turns map with 25 secs of straight line road? This is not nadeo bcd level? dunno... just saying...

We didnt check all maps evidently, What we did check was the current/upcoming rotations mappacks submitted to us.
We still need to figure 'Competition' tracks out.
Problem is we are human and dont see everything.
Solution is we find Easy Maps not suitable for ROC as Nadeo makes these rules as 'Big competition' Maps.
We just follow the headsheep in fact.

Than you probably have a different interpretation than we do. Rule has always been "Big competition maps", but it wasn't really enforced. There are now maps accepted which aren't made for those competitions, but in our eyes match the level of those maps. That's why those are accepted and others are not.
We can have a complete discussion here, but fact is that it's not going to change.
We feel some change is nessecary to improve (yes in our eyes, it is improvement) the RoC.
It's your choise to go with us in this (by changing your maplist) or not by not running a RoC server anymore.

NOT TO RECONSIDER,
that's your answer to the problem so great that you have generated your unwise decision.
The maps have been rejected, the best players in the world also fail, it means that the maps are good.
Chosen maps as well, displaying several shortcuts.
And most importantly, I have many years playing Trackmania, and Roc was made for fun for the players, not for competition.
For competitions are the leagues, ESL, TGC .... etc ...
I think that is a decision NOT DEMOCRATIC.
xD I have 48 years old .... Think of what they do before acting, or else this is also a beta version..
greetings.

Maybe you're right, we aren't chosen by the community, but by NADEO to make sure everything goes like it should.
I'm completely done with you complaining. What we are doing at the moment is to improve the RoC.
Feel free to improve your maps, but the maps that are rejected now will still be rejected.
Thank you for your "reasonable and constructive" opinions.

Actually we (the laddermods and I) are working on a system to improve the operating of the RoC rotation for the upcoming titles (Stadium and Valley) and Canyon to be able to handle this in a smooth way. So we are testing things and we are sorry if it's not good enough for a first try but it's preferable to do this now instead of to wait for the Stadium release (or Valley).
In any case, the previous validated RoC maps are still good, sorry i wasn't maybe enough clear with the laddermods, they help me to pre-select the maps, then i give the final "approval" stamp (and i'll check their selection tomorrow).
By the way, from the next rotation (the next after May), the server admins will be able to submit maximum 10 new maps for approval. (it'll be enough with the previous ones validated

)
That's a little rough new way to work but it should be for the best later ^_^
Thanks for your comprehension!
