Consolidating the spam isn't really that important. We have no trouble spotting new spam, as we use the "view new posts" option of the forum. It's just a matter of checking for it all the time.

My point was that the other solution suggested wouldn't really help us any. :|
Having all the spam in one place is not the issue.

That having been said, duct tape is one of the best things ever! :roflol:

Can we use the duct tape for those kitchens they wanna sell us each time in the forum spam??

I even wonder what the real purpose is of that forum spam: who has ever bought one of those kitchens they are willing to sell ??
I bet nobody does, so is it just to annoy us??

Actually you're missing the point of that fix ^^
It's the forum community you protect from spam, not the moderators.

    exactly ^^
keep in mind that nobody is blaming the moderators in any means, it's just normal that it takes some time to delete new spam :)

protecting actual informative threads from being spammed just improves the feeling and usability of the forum
for example i get sometimes notification mails because i've subscribed to a thread and when i take a look at it there's nothing to see because the spam has been deleted already :D

i just fear that this maniaconnect thingy won't become reality because it's another major change of the forum software which is already widely customised

      Greetz,
Some people click on the links they post, which gains them ad revenue from their ad-infested sites. With spambots posting the link in enough places, that amount of money might matter.
