Maybe it seems tiny little details for you but you don't seem to know how many polygons are implied here. And if you increase the distance limit where objects are rendered with high poly, not only one but a lot of blocks will be fully detailed too. And CPU doesn't make a lot of differences here.
But well, go on every game forum saying low poly are useless nowadays if you're so confident in your knowledge

This is not a bug.
note : level of details is not just "polygon" crunching.
There is a setting in the launcher that make the LOD pop closer (I think it's geometry details : fastest, fast, normal) is it maxed out on your config ?

Yes, the geometry setting here is set to normal ,it's the best option to minimize the pop-in as much as possible but it's still there.
