I didn't have problem 'since' the valley update. I already had this problem way way earlier bout the updates. But I could skip them after they crashed, and play.
And yes I downloaded the full Shootmania storm (1.5gigs) from my player page and reinstalled it. Doesn't work.
SO, it hink it is a network problem. We would just need to know what this "http 12 150" error means.

this tells what you already know: transmission error.
What your ManiaPlanet received was not valid.
Do you have any download limitation?
Did you try to disable anti-virus before running ManiaPlanet?

I don't think I have download limitations, since I've been able to download the data packs of shootmania, valley and Canyon at the same time, several times... (1.5gigs each)
I just tried to redo the update with the real time protection and all other features of the antivirus software disabled, and as usually, it starts downloading and then fail.

hm. Do you have enough free space on drive c: ?
Go to Windows temp and clean it, as well as Internet Explorer and your webbrowser cache.
And if it is not a SSD, you might do a forced defragmentation of the disk.

sorry
Is it perhaps a bandwith or download amount limitation by your provider?
Who knows...
Or try it later, after the next update was released.
