I don't need to look at everything, you know ;)

Actually there is a discussion ongoing in Germany, about a short movie created by movie academy students.
They planned to do a advertisement for a Mercedes car which is supposed to have a new road condition check system.
It brakes automatically when there is something or people on its way. And the movie shows this works well.
In a village, the car brakes before young girls.
But at the end of the movie, it drives over - and kills - a young boy, and you see his mom as she calls him "Adolf?... Adolf!?". The village name is shown, and it is well known in Austria... birth town of A.H.
At the end of the short movie, the boy lies on the street, arms and legs in shape of the nazi cross symbol.
"The system detects danger automatically even before it rises" is written again...

W :o :o :o T ! :roflol:
I'm so confused right now. I mean, the idea itself is funny. But the social disease it can lead, troubles me.

Back to the topic. I find it a funny parody :)

I personally think there should be NO topic in the world that you can't make fun of. Being cancer, holocaust, aids etc... Plain and simple. As Gervais once said: "Comedy is place where mind goes to tickle itself". I mean for gods sake look at Carlin in the 70s. When you say "freedom of speach" remember he was the one who started it all. A comedian...

But I also think that if you gonna go into that teritory with your jokes you better make sure they are good otherwise you burn. That's why mercedes didn't do well with that commercial. The punchline is not that good and the joke is very so-so. Doesn't justify the subject of the joke...

You see... you might think it is a Mercedes commercial, but it is not at all done by Mercedes neither authorized by Mercedes.
It was a students work, something like final year project.
So easily people can get wrong under some impressions...
