In trackmania, even If a players leaves before match ends, the time he drove is registered and taken considerated for the LP calculation. It would be stupid If it would not be the same way in SM.

in TM your leaving doesn't affect other people...

It doesn't affect because the LP are given based on the rounds the leaver player played.

I mean, if you leave in TM, "nobody cares"; but when you leave in SM, your team suffers from losing a player. Elite is a teamgamemode after all.

Well I was talking about the LP computation for the other team, for those who were wondering if you loose LP if any of the other team quits before match ends... Sure it sucks when someone leaves from your team. Unfortunately leavers, ragequitters, afks are everywhere, it happens in all games. Meantime a substitute joins, attacker has less armor shields to counter the inferiority condition. Still it's much easier to attack 1v2 than 1v3.

offtopic, I would add a higher lasergun reload time based on the number of active defenders

I confirm that even if a player of the other team leaves the match, he will be taken in account in the compute of the ladder points you earn.
So if a player leaves before the end of the match, you will not earn less ladder points.
But this player cannot earn ladder points even if he was in the winning team.
