Re: Maniaplanet Update #3 information
I'm still dreaming of the Time Attack free version of TM2

Re: Maniaplanet Update #3 information
Rasque,
It will be under testing, but what I expressed is that TM2 will be entirely playable online, even on custom servers, for a limited amount of time: 20 mns per environment, per day. It will also be 20 mns for the multiple environment title.
The formula is quite efficient on Elite, but we still have to see how it works across all titles. It's also something we can easily change, from 20 minutes to 30 minutes, or from 20 minutes everyday to 1h per week. It's just the goal to have a simple way to find the right balance between free/paying users.
In fact, that's equivalent to the first release of Nations, at the scale of the Nadeo history, but more structured for a longer capacity to support the entire ecosystem, and without advertising.
I really looking forward seeing the results of it.
PS: Kripkee, on the overlay of the Storm stations, you will have all the servers of your installed titles.

Can´t wait for 1 Update

Re: Maniaplanet Update #3 information
Sooo much new stuff in such a short period of time .. (February to April )
Many big companies would release all these new features in around 2-3 years by means of splitting all those new things in smaller updates. But Nadeo doesn't.
Very nice job

That is right, but if you release in the future more titles for Shootmania, you will have the 'same problem' like TM² having right now. I talk about an 'all in one' serverviewer direct in Maniaplanet [...]
Or does Nadeo prefer to continue this 'splitting' thing as 'applications' for Shootmania too?

Edit: I'm not negative about maniaplanet, but I'm not sure... I'm not sure...

Re: Maniaplanet Update #3 information
tipiizor, the store will list the titles with the number of people playing. So, there will be a visibility of activity and one click to download & play. We can not add all servers on the Storm station, since it's not what the player have. The more there would be custom titles, the more it would create confusion and they will anyway select to hide the non-installed titles. So the Store is the place to seek activity on new experiences, and the server list, to seek activity on known experiences. They are both in the main menu accessible from one click only.
Re: Maniaplanet Update #3 information
what is this small innovation for shootmania? will it completely revamp the gameplay as minijump/walljump/fast reload did?
Re: Maniaplanet Update #3 information
Maybe you are right Hylis, but still one thing i dont understand.
A casual player will just go in the main server list, he'll check first pages (since it's sorted by number of players) and go where most people are. So the empty servers aren't visible.
Only most popular title servers will be visible. (not many imo)
I remember when i was looking for a counter strike 1.6 server to play, on steam, there was tons of servers with various mods, and with a clear display and some filters, it was very easy to find where to play
Anyway, if that Title Pack page is popular, that won't be a big problem, but that's a strange way to do things ^^
