Okay, I don't think any of you are understanding my logic, nor do I care to argue about Europe or Asia having a larger market than NA etc. Putting that aside, I just want to state that every possible measure on the communities part has been tried; there is nothing else we can do. We organize tournaments, we provide assistance to new players, we provide 80K and 90K servers. We have tried to allocate all of the teamspeaks from different clans all in to one public teamspeak to keep everyone close by, so we know who is on and who is willing to play. We have done absolutely everything on our part possible.

I am not here to argue with anyone, nor am I here to discuss the reasoning on why our community needs a 100K server (which I have already stated)

Its as simple as this, Nadeo has failed to meet the needs of the NA community (by completely ignoring it) and now the game is on its last legs in NA. Now the people that purchased Shootmania (which are in the thousands here in NA) are left with a game that THEY CAN NOT PLAY because of who? Because if I pay for a game, that most likely means that I want to play it, at least thats out logic here in NA is that we like to use the things that we pay for.

I'm finished debating on this thread, I have made all of my points very clear, unless you represent Nadeo or can do something to provide the NA community with a 100K non-matchmaking server, please don't waste your time commenting because the NA community needs a yes or no answer, not a debate because we have been at a constant debate within the community for months now, and most of the NA users are finished debating and have moved on to other games

hehe, i understand t1tan. I hope you get what you want and a more active community.

Maybe you could request a 100K server here?

Also, it seems to me that you need a lot more than just that 100k server. Just hang around a bit longer and wait what this "big update" will bring in March.

Matchmaking works just fine if we made an effort to use it...

I agree with this point, though I know you guys have tried matchmaking a few times but it always seems to not work out. If I was to take a guess - it's because you are roughly 6 players each time.

Once there is at least 12 active players in matchmaking, it can start to grow well as long as you organise yourselves to dedicate your time to give it a chance (play on it for an hour is simply not enough to get it going, sometimes you will need to play a few games till new players start catching on).

I know the Lobby is an obligation to play on, but it invites players to play and players get different opponents every time if less people are allied.

I much prefer to wait and play in a lobby than wait in spectatormode in a full 6-player server

I love the idea of matchmaking, I would literally give thousands of dollars to a french charity if it worked. Unfortunately it is impossible to 6 high level players (unless its pre coordinated) on the server, I'm sure 100K matchmaking server hasnt been used in months. The only way we still even get people to play shootmania is by having all of the clan(s) teamspeaks on one teamspeak server, and if it wasnt for leetfist.tk teamspeak, the game would have died last year.

I surely hope this "update" will cause a significant increase in NA players, its the last bet we have

Hey Guys

I have just started reading the posts in the Shoot Mania forums and came across this. I have to agree with Titan as I have been very discouraged with the NA player base. It is so bad over here that we have been playing most of our matches over in France at 120 snapshot delta and 120 ping because we enjoy the match making server. Mainly SSM. I could sit in a NA matchmaking server for an entire day and have no on to play against. So Titan you are right. One of the problems in North America is the fact we do not have any new players or average players playing, so as a result there are no games. My clan can find a game within minutes on SSM in France but we lag other players down because of our location in Ontario Canada and when we are matched with advance players the ping difference is very hard but we manage anyway. We need the game released again in NA with better advertising and I am looking forward to a speed cap as this is a major issue for newer players or someone with an average pc. I know I am off topic but I wanted to finally have my say and this post was the best spot to do so. One other issue is scripts. No scripts!!!!! new players have no idea about these. Cheat protection would also be welcome. In quake I know the ups were capped. In SM I do not think this is the case. So cap the frames like Quake which is now 250 fps. I play with guys that have 350 frames solid during a game to my 125 so these are some of the reasons there are no NA players. I went in Quake Live last night and there were a lot of players playing, and this game has been out since 2007-2008. Even playing field and more advertising as well as maybe bots on the servers until real players come in would grow the game and also give us more server options in NA. Our clan by the way is SSMG which stands for senior shoot mania guys as we are all over 40 and some over 50 years young. Lets hope the new update brings more peeps into the game because it is fun and stressful at the same time. :3
