I wasnt i just didnt know. Dont think that qualifies as "already doing enough for the game" though honestly..

My stance on this cup situation is this: why are there 2 cups on sunday? I understand that people who get knocked out of ESL early have a chance for another cup but then you get people that still try and juggle both, delaying both cups massively and just wasting time. If these non-esl sunday cups persist then there at least needs to be a rule stopping people who continue on in ESL and try to play the other cup.

ESL came first, they've had the sunday night slot since late 2012. Other cups just need to work around that :/

At this point there is almost 1 cup a day. Most people are not gonna be able to participate in all the cups wether or not they are on the same day as another cup. You might not get this, but it's really boring to face Awsomniac, high focus, pyrogen and so on in the first round. Most teams that join are just there to have fun and 2 cups in the same day makes it more fun to play cups.

I feel that having leetgamerz on Sunday is only bad for the top 8 teams. They'll have to prioritize which cup they want to play. Also ESL and leetgamerz should force rules to avoid delay.

LGZ has rules about delaying btw.
You can play both cups, but 1 delay ( and they will check the ESL website ) = temporary ban.

And personally I agree with Plopp. I mean, what exactly is the problem? I can sign up for cups almost everyday.
You guys play the ESL cups and the teams that you beat in the first 2rounds go play another cup.

Ofc, in theory it would be nicer to have ALL teams in 1 cup on Sunday, but I honestly think thats pretty much the case.

Im also against competing with eachother. ESL is like the mekka of cups and we just need to respect that. There arent any cups on Thursdays ( besides ESL.FR ) and there arent any cups on Mondays and Saterdays.

Awsomniac cup qualifiers are on Mondays, french teams have cups every day except Saturdays. I don't know how many Awsomniac qualifiers there will be, but there are certainly enough cups to have two in the same day. Unless you guys make your living out of these cups I'd say it's about priorities.

Is there really a cup every day? Every night me and my teammates try and find out if theres a cup the next day, but it seems like 2-3 days a week theres not a cup - OR its not being advertised... perhaps you could do some cup schedule article on mania-actu?

Obviously theres nothing wrong with players losing early in ESL going to play the lgz cup. I think you guys missed my point that you do have these select teams which try to attempt playing both and this has a knock on affect to the rest of the cup, delaying it severely. I've seen this first hand for the last 3-4 sunday nights.

Have we forgotten that a cup is a competition? If people want to play without the chance of meeting a better team, then go search a practice on irc or play matchmaking? When you enter a cup, you know that theres a possibility that you can be knocked out first round. Thats life, gaming etc. Also, i dunno if you'll get this but it sucks to wait 2-3 hours to even play your first ESL match on a sunday..

tldr : if you absolutely must insist on having 2 cups at t he same time/night, please manage it better. Or at least start the LGZ cup significantly later so it doesn't interfere whatsoever with ESL.

Maybe I need to read a bit before starting an argument. I was sure the leetgamerz cup started at 21, but it's not. Then I get your point.

The thing is there is not such a big community to have cups for people that aren't superhuman. The "pro" teams will sign up for every cup. How fun would it be to play a sport if the juniors had to play against the top elite in every competition?

I do get that delays are really boring, but it should be managed better then. Admins and players allow people to juggle both.
