I have made a track with a flying cow in TMF once, using a ghost of another track.
It is also possible to do such things with the MT.
But it should be easier to have some tools in the game to establish those kind of things.

I have seen something with a small rollercoaster, but I guess the cow doesn't react like in real, when you drive near to it.
Of course you can add some small details, but then they are not reallistic.
What we want in this topic, are some small things like old newspapers, cans of drinks, falling leaves, which you can add to some blocks. Then when your car drives along there, they should react reallistic and so they are a cool eye candy. This should be done easily for every trackbuilder so that you don't have only a small number of maps with these stuff. When you use a 3D-model the filesize gets bigger as well and it often isn't loaded at the start of the track(e.g. for intro)

indeed the problem with user content has allways been the ability to load before the challenge kicks in, i think a good thing to suggest for TM2 is maybe that until the content has loaded that the challenge does not start on the client end? (and if after a timeout period the content fails to load either bypass or skip track).
It might be worth us suggesting the the greater powers.
But that also would be alot of work (maybe) so indeed a fixed system of particle types placeable over a block in the editor, or just as a default when that block is placed might be best,
But the loading issue is definately something that will affect this, as haenry so rightly pointed out, so there are two options,
1: make it as stated originally that nothing can be edited for these particles and fix them to certain blocks in the editor.
2: make them editable in the 3d sense and ovehaul the loading part of the challenges completely
Both are worth consideration, but only nadeo/ubisoft will know which is the best and/or easiest to impliment for our viewing pleasure
I would definately like one or the other though, making things a little more pleasing to the eye, and give the TM world a little more lifelike element (showing the speed as you leave the earth in your wake ^^).

I think it could be really annoying for those (like me) who have not the best connection. I am actually far from the 56k (about 1M), but it takes sometimes lots of time to load a big map. Already with TMUF, it comes quite frustrating when you have to wait 4 minutes, then play 3 minutes, and so on. Bypassing or skipping a track would be even more frustrating imo.
Maybe i'm misunderstanding... But i guess, if the rubbish is immaterial (i mean, like ghost/opposite cars, what you suggested in your first post by "nothing to affect the car"), we could have a default rubbish that would replace the home-made rubbish when it can't be loaded on time ?

That would be an idea Romain, but i guess looking at all the problems with P2P loading in time, and timeout values etc, it will maybe be worth them jsut adding the generic rubbish and leaving it uneditable.
But hey, the suggestion is there if Nadeo and Ubi come up with a good and efficient way of implimenting it

i agree too ^^
I think its a great idea to get a real realistic atmosphere. Imagine you are in TM² in the envi "Canyon": Some dust over the street and these little dirt balls rolling over the ground like in western movies

. That would be awesome
And of course great for making movies ^^

Might not be a good idea because the " rubbish" will go through the cars when they past by
The tumbleweeds in the canyon will not hit the cars
Maybe they should put a flowing river like in the Grand Canyon.It could push the cars when they try to go against the current
