Perhaps the server admins are automatically banned too so they can't play themselves

I've checked, but the server is 0-50k, so removing serverlimits is certainly not an option.
And since it isn't a ladderserver, I wonder why you would want to play on a server like that.
Go to a server on which you are apprieciated. I know a lot of serverowners who welcome (new) players to their server(s).

It's not about joining it but random evil behaveior everybody is a cheater for them and so I never said I liked it...
