Dont get into it to much Soprah. He talked a lot and said plenty of stuff. But it was very loud and I didnt hear everything. He wasnt talking to me directly.
Anyways, every game ( good or bad ) has negativity. Asking them to stop wont rly help that much...
Im not a pessimist, just a realist. But okay, I'm not gonna talk about this.

The neverending waiting game has to stop.

Actually, you are right, regarding both aspects.

Re: List of 50 bugs and suggestions
I think this have been suggested before, atleast I have made one suggestion,
But I think introduction level could be great for new players
Something like,
The very first time player logins and presses the "Storm" logo, it will display a short flashy video demo of the game.
After the demo, you will automatically enter to the introduction level. Like obstacle style, how to jump, shoot, use stamina, teleporter, guns, graplin, how to load pole, etc.. Once player completes the move he can continue to the next move. Shoutboxes, tip boxes and "glowing" parts guides the player. Maybe some textures have texts such as some wall has text "walljump".
Player could cancel the intrudction level if he wants to and come back later. But because its partially 'forced' or atleast leaded at the beginning, many players would still run it through and get to know the things.
As a bonus, once the player has completed the basic introduction tutorial, there could be 'hard campaign', so the player is pushed to be better and put all what he has learned into 'pro level' use.

Re: List of 50 bugs and suggestions
About tutorials there is a server which explains movement, weapons, blocks, etc. and does it pretty well, imo. Link maniaplanet://#join=obsmania-1@SMStorm . Nadeo could do some UI for new players that informs them about this server while Nadeo don't have enough time to create their own and possibly more complete tutorial.

This is a very good idea! I thought about something similar.Alexey85 wrote:About tutorials there is a server which explains movement, weapons, blocks, etc. and does it pretty well, imo. Re: List of 50 bugs and suggestions
hi, since aurel isnt here now, i'll post his answer with my name.
------
hello, aurel here,
i'm the creator of the tutorial map. there's actually 2 versions, one for french players and one for english players. the french one is more recent since i did some improvements to it. and as i see that my servers are quite empty most of the time, i stopped making them more better.
i was in contact with nadeo back in mars 2015, and i was asking them to implement it into the interface when new players are coming to the main page. but i was left in waiting. i was all the same proposed to open these 2 servers (FR-EN) and that nadeo will be behind my back to share it with maniaflash etc... something that i wasnt really comfortable with since beginners don't know these things and tools, and probably want something more simple and will prefer to let themself be led by the game for their first time.
as a result i never tried to advertise for these maps, neither share them.
the map uses the basic obstacle script (not the one for the titlepack), so it can be online on storm. on the other hand, beginners will need to have luck for finding them.
i also thought about another concept of tutorial map, with an open map where the player haves the choice to learn what he wants. that's a way of learning that let the choice open to the player. i thought that would be great. but i don't count on working on as long as the visibility of the servers isn't better. it's lot of work for quite nothing with this actual system.
i did a short demonstration video of the FR map that you can find here > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqsO6xj ... e=youtu.be
otherwise you can find the maps on storm and obstacle filtrer.
