Hylis travaille encore sur Shootmania, même si je suis plus proche de la communauté en ce moment. Hello everyone, Alinoa here! And no i don't have the power to decide which games will be at the ESWC. Hylis still works on Shootmania, even if i'm closer to the community at the moment. We would like there will be a Shootmania tournament, but the ESWC question is more complex than the wish of someone. The word "petition" is a bit strong, but we're really pleased to see a so strong desire from the players

Mhmm I am still confused and I am hoping to receive a clear answer (if that's possible):

Is there a chance that there might be an ESWC for SM this year, for example if the community "invests more" like the petition (as the president of drakonia desired in the quote) ?

Or is it too late?

We can't really talk about that, only the ESWC can take a decision about adding a tournament or not in the competition

The best thing to do is to ask them this question.

No matter if there will be a Shootmania ESWC or not, the decision needs to be made fast. Possible participants need to have enough time to prepare, to practice and to sort out things considering sponsoring from organizations, etc. It's just 1 month left. gogo =)

Its impossible to join an organisation and ask for a shirt... It can take up a very long time before they arrive. As CPLAY-staff member I know this for a fact. etc etc

Announcements should have been made sooner. Ofc a late announcement is better than no accouncement.

Yes, I know that myself, I was rather referring to financial support for players from organizations. That has to be planned in advance of course.

I know it has been mentioned very often so far.. but Shootmania urgently needs ESWC this year, in my opinion. Not to actually boost the activity, but to give a sign of hope for SM in general! ESWC has such a huge symbolism and it has always been THE tournament for Elite players. If there will be no SM representation, then the so-called description "SM is dead" would probably make more sense then.. and even myself (who was always blamed for his obstinate posivity & optimism) would lose faith in SM.
A few might consider the absence of SM in ESWC as a "drop in the ocean" and it wouldn't have solved all problems like magic... but this very certain tournament has a huge character (especially for elite players of SM) and would consequentely have huge impacts on this game.

Why would people rejoin SM if they would figure out that it had no ESWC? Waste of time, they would probably prefer to stick to their current games like CS:GO. And even a power-up wouldn't be able to "wash out" the mistakes of the past... at least it would be much harder.

Excuse me for my negativity but something needs to be done before it's too late. As dreammy said, it's never too late for an announcement of which the majority is waiting for so long now :-/


Whom can I (we) contact Cerovan to ask this one question that I wrote above? Does this one person know about the petition and generally the community's eager will to have an ESWC for SM this year?
What do you think of a smaller tournament this autumn/winter as a substitute for ESWC? Smaller prices, maybe less players (One can arrange that teams have to qualify online first and the best players will play locally).
I am sure something can be done!

I emailed NADEO for a 3rd Season of CPLAY Premier Series. No answer until now.

Anyways, the petition currently has 300votes which is insanely low. Another game-stream has 10 000 viewers... We collect 300votes... But let's hope for the best.

Anyways; I dont think ESWC will have any impact on this game. 100viewers on stream just like last year. TOP4 instantly quits the game after the finals because it's dead.

Even though this year is a TM year, i find it hard to believe that there are 4 game spots open for ESWC, might it be that they will be holding a French only tournament?
