I've solved the problem now (And thanks to Trackmaniack for his help)

I was using Maupi's template - I deleted the Door Handle layer (make sure to right click on layer and 'delete group' then 'group and contents'))

I then flatted image and saved as DDS File and choose option DTX5 ARGB 8bb - Interpolated Alpha.

This solved the problem for me and colours are showing fine in daylight now.

- I was using photoshop btw.

Folder for saving skins should be in your documents folder/maniaplanet/skins/vehicles/canyoncar.

Create a ZIP folder of your DDS file and save it in there.

Hum, I modified a .zip of a car I created, I put the .dds inside and named it SkinDiffuse.dds but I only got a red car, without my texture :/

if you have only a custom SkinDiffuse file, you can put it in the canyoncar folder without zip.

The problem is not using the custom skin
I put it in the right folder, but when I choose it, it's just a red skin

I can't open a .dds even with Photoshop CS3 + dds plugin installed
