Car damage would just make TM like any other racing game :|
I don't think its a good idea :? especially with custom models................. :geek:
Hmm.. then why NADEO used car damage in TM Power Up ? :geek: ...And i understood the thing with modeling ... but maybe car damage wont appear in-game so it will be cool :)

1) TM will never be just like any other car game. TM will ALWAYS blow every other competitor out of the water. Period. There have been games that have tried to be a new TM, and just can't cut the mustard.

2) Collisions/damage would be nice, and for the detractors that say user models wouldn't be able to exhibit damage, one only has to look at any sim racer for PC (which there are few, but there are some) or a game like crashday...But to add such a feature in TM, the way it is currently encoded, would probably be not very efficient for Nadeo to add now, considering that they -already- have a winner on their hands with the TM-formula as it is now. If Nadeo continues to branch, however, they may eventually create a version of TM that has collisions, don't write them off now.

people damage can be only visual
just like when the car gets dirt in offroad stadium part when it touches the wall some of the colour could dissapear as well. having part breaking is impossible cause of the new models that are going to come out but a "paint" damage ain't that hard nad can be much easiers done i think

Just some eyecandy damage would be cool indeed, and won't affect gameplay....

GOod idea, french community the guys who played the much of TMPU, talks alot about that, i tested the demo, and I say, it would be great!
I think the people who don't like this idea should learn more about TM.
Trackmania cars should have always got that impacts.
