You will probably have to wait a little longer than that before inviting them. It's difficult to say, but I look more for a domino effect than instant hit for MP4. Other steps, for later but that we are already working on are more likely to be easier to instantly convince friends to jump in. The first step, with MP4, will be to connect again with the deep core users. Trying to quickly bring tons of players instead of creating a solid foundations would be useless in long term and even dangerous in short term. Next time you invite your friend, it should be obvious that Manialpanet is the place to stay and already feel a home with positive spirit. And we will prepare this with the help of the super Nadeo team, MP4 & the top players around. And I am just too happy of doing that, holy cow!

" This is to answer the joke (no problem ^^) and to take the opportunity to clarify that it's less "super features to test" that should be the first new big step, but a better place for core users to discover / test / feedback / create / learn / communicate / evolve / share etc.

MP4 will still be in an environment in evolution since we have much longer plan and we need to make this as the foundations for them. My goal is to work the roots of the future with the core users of Maniaplanet instead of going toward friends of them with bells & whistles. Of course they want to invite their friends, like us, but the place itself should become better before including the fact that we will be more agile to answer and support core users. And it's also more during the beta that we will resume fixing some stuff, trying to make the best priority out of many things, including the questions raised for the dedicated servers. Until then we concentrate on setting up the platform to acquire the highest speed as possible after that. Speed is everything and starting from the release of the MP4 beta, this is the feeling I wish we will be able to provide to the players that will be around, and I think it's the reason of most topic, including this one.

how do you plan the pick the core players?

We first have to work on MP4. Once we feel that the beta is going to be ready, some 2/3 months before, we will be able to give a more precise date. Then, and until the beta start, we will list some users depending on the priorities of things to be looked upon. After that they will be invited. Other ways to get it will be possible as well, and it could depends of the phase. The way to do it can vary, but we had some successful 'stupid games' in the past. The good thing is that usually negative players avoid them, and we will avoid them as well ^_^
