If there were times that were difficult/impossible to beat because of the physics changes (like, mp3 times being faster for whatever reason) then I think it would make 100% to wipe all mp3 times. Otherwise it doesn't make a difference because every mp3 time will end up being slower and then disappear.
Objectively though, I would say that it makes sense that every mp3 time would just be wiped. I don't want to drive d15 or e05 again though, but at the end of the day I don't really care if they just remove all mp3 times, because again, it makes the most sense because of the physics change. They are essentially different games.
@riolu: If you're just worried about what some kid thinks about taking some new record temporarily, then who cares. Should take less than a day take most of the records atm, no really good times have been made yet and every track is much faster.
