I just want people to know a bit English so we can communicate.
I agree on that. Also machine translating of whole sentences doesn't really work, for me it's really annoying to read automatically translated texts.

Something like a look up function for words or simple sentences can be quite handy, where you can type /lookup Randstein and it tries to find a translation for "Randstein". That's what computers are good at and it's also easy to implement.

We desperately need some kind of automatic translation system into other languages. Build in into TM or as a plung-in in MLEPP or FoxControl. I want to talk to someone, who doesn't understand english or german! One big problem is, that Google killed their language API some time ago, so we have to find an alternative to them. Maybe you at Nadeo can find a solution?

Please don't underestimate the quality these systems can provide. Sure, Translating from or into something else than english may be a problem, but translating from or to english may solve 80% of all these problems.

Thank you,

Hammer
English it's general language, so if some one don't understand it, that's his problem whatsoever!

Nope. That's my problem, because I have to use google translate, write something in english, translate it to another language, go back to TM and paste the result. And then I have to open the chat log and copy his answer back into the translator. Not communicating is simply not an option for me and neither is learning that lanugage.

The World Language is english, so better learn it, you never will regret it. I hated English at school, because at this time i saw no use for that, because my school time was long before the Internet comes up (early 80s). And now i wish i would seen it more seriously in the school. I must use Google translate often too and my English is not really good and don't ask me how long i write on a simple English Text like this one. :roflol:

You know same here about school, but typing ability it's really cool thing, but you know you perfectly can speaking in real life without Google with you existing skill! =) Typing always will be more hard than speaking in real life, believe me, I'm tried it, I'm think you either! =) But it will be hard until you learned your English to advanced level in all aspects including typing!
