Go into the editor
Place a podium block
Press enter to choose where to spawn your car
Choose a spot close to the podium block, but not on it
Press enter again
Drive to the podium block
Back up onto the spot where 1st place would be
Done

No need for cranes
Ramps are for aesthetics

On another note, don't you know your car is teleported to the block when the podium appears? It's the same thing that happens when you start a race over or respawn at a checkpoint.

1st place is easy. 2nd is harder but I imagine it could be done with a bit of shuffling and cooperation. Cant' see how 3rd can get on there, though.

I am guessing that you normally win races. Not being quite that good, the way 3rd gets up there is quite important to me ;)

When I saw this thread about lack of realism, I thought it was referring to the cinematics, and how the highlights in some tracks get blown out. Thas is cool.

But, realism...Coast in TMU was the most "real" environment of them all yet it still had turbos. ("Hey, sis, let's put your trike on that turbo and go flying!" "MOOOOMMMM!")
