If Gekko has taken Manialinks and PHP this far in TrackMania, imagine what he can do with a TM-own programming code. OMG, I don't know what we can NOT expect from him ^^

What information is known about maniascript, anyway? What has Nadeo said it can already do...?

Still, i like the idea of trackmania gamelogic scripting. Yes you could really ** the maps, but with carefull scripting and taking time you could do wonderfull creative things

All that we really know about ManiaScript at the moment is that one of its functions is going to be a sort of replacement for MediaTracker (which is great, but it's a little outdated).

well opinoins may vary but it also can be to shape things in shootmania or questmania. I think its based upon 3 genres and one general code.

Maybe they will use always the system of transparent layers for the video out and adding new commands for the scripting.
I hope this time the refresh will be integrated in the client side without calling the server side. :geek:

Edit : Maybe adding to the client a little memory cache for the XML just like on the CPU to get them do faster the usual job.

It would be so hilarious/awesome if you can create a map using the maniascript command "$random"
lol
*trying to imagine a randomly calculated tm map by something that is not human*

....

Hmmmm, this is a good idea!!!
But i don't think Nadeo will share with us how to decode the .gbx file
