Re: how does one drift sucessfully in this game
For more difficult drifts try A15 as that has some particularily difficult corners just after boosts and corners after boosts are a pain in the arsetargetbsp wrote:Track A05 is really good for practising drifting. It's just 2 straights with 2 180 degree corners that you do 5 laps of. So you basically have to do 10 successful long but fairly simple drifts in a row.
Re: how does one drift sucessfully in this game
thanks to all the great advice here i have been able to drift with success more often then not, now im working on just timing the drift correctly and my crash ratio has gone down dramatically. i am now having more fun with this game then i was yesterday and i did not think that was possible so thank you very much

Great to hear!
Bear in mind that while you're learning to drift, some turns will still be faster to do noslide, even on tech tracks. If you can manage to take a line through the curve that allows you to drive it fullspeed without drifting... you will be faster.
I think that's half the fun of the game, finding out where drifting will help the most.. and where you don't really need it.

This is true, like on A07 for example, you can drift your way round a few corners, but you don't really need to as you can just FullSpeed the entire trackeyebo wrote:Great to hear!
