From what I have seen until now, I have a lot of visions according to the map editor!
I like TM - RPG's but I think a SM RPG would be even better! :O
Please Nadeo, let us have a possibility to add "bots" to the game !

Yea with the "shoot/spell/magic" thing and maniascript you could create some cool puzzles and obstacles. Like in Little Big Planet. I have some positive expectations to this game, even though i hate competive games like COD/CS (due to lack of winning instinct and pessimistic mind )

Well, I really do wish you guys the best, but mostly I just don't hold much stock in your approach to episodic releases.. Sure, it worked great for some indie classics like Sam and Max, but those games cost around 10bux and offer an entirely different experience with each episode (not the same experience with different textures). As mentioned by plenty of others, you're going to have a very hard time selling the game without either an extensive embrace by the game review community or a limited demo. I really thought you guys had a great approach in TMF (still not too late for MP.. a free starter env, with the option to try and buy any others you like), though a few ignored notices and some very bad rushed decisions seemed to ruin it all rather quickly.

I still find it rather amusing that I seem to see more Nadeo SM guys around these days than Nadeo TM guys, regardless of the forum section.. almost as if they think they have finished TM2:Canyon. If the SM franchise is doomed to the same neglect after the initial release, I doubt any of us will be around in another 9 months, whether dev or player...

This time, make sure Ubi knows to get ads out in the States this time! I can't figure out why, from a company that inundated the airwaves with ads for Assassin's Creed, both Brotherhood and Revelations, can't figure out how to get Trackmania into a few TV spots. Games from Nadeo should be mainstream hits, not sleeper classics, especially here in the States, where a lot of people are very concerned about what their children play for videogames. There's no sex, no excessive violence, or anything some people may find "questionable." *shrugs* I just can't understand why everybody isn't playing this game...or at least has it in their collection.

+1 for sure. this game would be a hit if people knew about it. i have talked to my friends about it and they all had no idea that such a game existed but they got excited when i told them about SM.

The main problem of Nadeo and Ubisoft is the origin of the company. France, or better yet, the french language.

To start off there's the expression "Pardon my french" which is used when using a curse word.
In other terms, the french language itself isn't something most english language people like to hear or read.
Still, most "leaked" footage is in french or french people trying to speak english with a french accent/intonation.

My idea is for nadeo/ubi to hire native english/american people to do their interviews/voice overs/expo pr and kinda hide the french origin.


Just compare it with the movies..
A flick in the french language or with french people trying to speak english won't even get 25% of the audience as the same story with native english people.

Personally, I don't give a crap where anybody is from. So long as you're not a jerk--you respect me, I respect you. And most -sensible- Americans that I know feel the same way. There are some cultural differences between us, to be sure, but just because I don't understand the language doesn't mean I won't watch it. Simple. Just have Sprint get a beta copy, or TMPurification, or somebody, make a few epic videos, and have an english-speaking guy do some epic voiceovers, and there you have it. Voila, as the french would say

hehe Trackmaniack, of course YOU would watch it, as you're already part of the community and like me anxious to see what's up next.
I also don't mean any disrespect to france or french people in general. It's just the fact france due to certain choices in global politics made a name for themselves that has negative impact on the willingness of others to promote french products worldwide.
