So it looks like there was an interface update to maniaplanet.
It's asking me if I want to load Shootmania onto my computer. When it asks for the key I purchased, it says the key is invalid.

Any ideas?

Where did you purchase the key?
If you received a Beta-code only, you have to register this first.
Every necessary details should be written either on the confirmation page that appears right after the purchase process, or in a confirmation mail... do you have this still?

yeah i've got the key. i assume it was a beta key. purchased it from the shootmania website directly.
i've been playing fine for the past few days.

i just purchased a key for $15.99.
all of a sudden today it's asking me to re-enter the key and telling me it's invalid.

i wonder if it's because i'm entering in the product key vs. the activation code?
i'm not currently at my home computer so i'll have to try when i get home.

i have both my activation code and my product key readily available.

yeah better try at home with your preferred setup location for ManiaPlanet.

neither did the product key.

after the 2.1b update, it's saying my key isn't valid and that i only have the demo.
that seems to be the issue and by doing a basic search it seems that this is a problem that has happened before.

Please go to the player page and check if your key has been validated (you will see the titles you can use):

Once I log in, where do I go?
If I go to Account > Players Keys, then enter my key, I get this:

"This game key is not activated."

This is very odd.
How can you get the B2.1b update (build 23/01/2013 22:15) if you don't have an account, and how can you have an account without a valid key?
Did you also try to enter the key to get a validation code?
And please also make sure you select to have the "optional updates" there in the settings.

To summarize:
- you have purchased the game
- you have installed it
- you have created a ManiaPlanet account (but how? it should already ask for a key already then?)
- you can't select any title nor play anything
- even on the player page you can't use the key

Did I miss something?
