I do believe that experimenting is the wrong word for it. You would want others to play them. They will need the unlimiter in order to play them. That will cause more people to build 256 maps.

Main problem: The standard size is there for a reason. There is enough space to build complex architecture anyway. Low end PC's will struggle due to the bigger base. It's just dumb imo to say "The game just came out, I need extension.".

But yeah, opinions.

So,
you compose music just because others to listen?

No words.
Never whistling on your own?

And,
you know,
1728 can be divided by 2,3,4,6,8,9,12,16,18,24,27,32,36,48,54,64,72,96,108,144,192,216,288,432,576,864.
plus zillions of lesser combinations.

Lost in front of the vastity of the universe?
Don't you know what to do?
Afraid of proliferation of people building "different" maps?

Bravo,
stick to rules,
and you never be lost.

(OMG!

Frankly,
the rustiness of this thinking is deceiving,
it's for thinking like this that i became...
heretic)

Totally with u darmaya ! It's like: if u don't like same sex marriage, don' marry a same sex ! ! ! ! I always had a hard time to understand why people with limitation in they're mind always want to put other people in the same limitations....

It's as easy as: If u don't like unlimiter, don't use it... If u don't like maps build with unlimiter, don't drive them..... BUT F*** of from people that happens to like it ! ! ! ! :teub:

Btw, watching ur utube oversize map right now, and it's AWESOME ! ! ! Can't wait to try it out...... :pil
Is it on MX ?

Ok let's clear this up:

- I love the unlimiter
- I love some 256^3 maps

But:

- It's too early imo to release such a powerful tool. People won't use it right: 256^3 maps just happen to be easy to build. Thats why I call it a cheat then. But at the same time, some ideas need the required space, meaning the unlimiter comes in handy.
District 25 is the best example for using the space right.

@nesrally
Nes, Nes,
how warm is to meet one feather of the same wing... :)

Nowadays kids are prone to homologation,
thinking that being more realist than the king,
is a good way to grown up.
Wrong, let me say:
innovators never do that,
otherways the world will be taleban...

Some background about Unlimiter and oversized maps:
The magnificent -arc's tool,
now revamped by phil13hebert,
was able to allows oversized maps since 2010.
I built dozens of maps,
running free thru canyons, mountains and big prateries,
often using a small 200x20x20 area or 20x20x200, offsetted from the main.

Unfortunately,
due to a new upgrade,
the terrain around the 48x48 became "ghost" (not collidable)
killing any further experiment.

So this map is gone forever, and many others with it.

@killaprodtm
Dumb is to put in my mouth stupid statements:
i never pretended nothing,
i just reacted to taliban thinking.
Do you noted the difference?

Aren't you a bit overreacting here? Keep cool guys, this is only about the size limit in a map editor so what does it have to do with talibans and homosexual marriage?
