Isn't it a bit early to disscuss about the prize of an addon? :D

If it's not above 20€, it'll be okay in my opinion ;)

It's 3 addons over 3 years, if you play only TM2. It's quite reasonable, a WoW subscription over 3 years is far more expensive, and also a waste :D

Hylis wrote:And we don't have only one style, we don't listen to one style of music, we don't like one type of food etc. This is why we have looked to integrate the most played multiplayer genres with ShootMania and QuestMania.
This is so true, everyone has different tastes. But many enjoy multiple genres of music or different kinds of food. So it will be cool to have it all in one place, and one community based around it.
Google translation of Hylis Interview wrote:It must be said that a developer is always enthusiastic when it comes to his game, but now we really knew we had something. In our society, a set of small cars and construction of circuits is a game that many children are involved. And we are holding the electronic version of the concept.
You said this in regards to Trackmania Original, but it has continued through all the subsequent games, and it's the fundamental concept which has kept me playing the game. It's the simplicity and elegance. I grew up playing with Legos, and Trackmania is just an extension of that idea... of interchangeable blocks.
Google translation of Hylis Interview wrote:The concept is very simple, because our business is somehow not the same job that other developers of game developers make up the other game, for Nadeo, we are more oriented towards The invention of an instrument. If we take music for example, composes music, and for this we use a musical instrument. Here is a little like that, we are invented an instrument and this instrument is given to players that they play. They have to compose their music. It is they who will provide mapping different styles, different circuits. Overall, it's your turn. That's what makes it a different game.
This underpins the second part of what makes Trackmania great, empowering the player. It's clear that TM & now ManiaPlanet is at the forefront of this revolution in gaming... going towards user powered gaming. It's an exciting time for both developers and players.
Hylis wrote:We want to have the smallest number of modes as possible and only one environment for one game at the beginning ... Our target is to release one environment every three months and maybe do updates in between.
This is fascinating, and I hope it means we'll see things sooner than we would have otherwise... if we were waiting for all environments to be done before we get the game.
Hylis wrote:...our minimal plan is for nine environments and current ambition is for fifteen. We will adapt to the situation anyway. There could be more or there could be less.
Considering there's essentially only 7 environments right now after 6 years... even 9 environments sounds ambitious to me. 15 is just insane. In any case, it's great to hear you have long term goals for many environments. Maybe we'll get moon and toy finally.
Hylis wrote:Until then, be sure that all of our work is going as fast as possible. All the hours available here are important since years and for the years to come with a better team than ever.
That's great to hear. I know you folks at Nadeo HQ are as passionate about gaming as the rest of us in the community. :D

Best wishes,
eyebo

Was the Maniaplanet Trailer done by Epipheo Studios?

I'm happy to see some new stuff, I'm not convinced by the "buying new content"-thing, but we'll see hot it goes ;)

Well if it's cheap, like 15-20€, why not? It's definitely a nice idea :)
