We are also still working on small details but on all blocs. It is quite specific to TrackMania, but we improve the graphics until late in the project and we can easily put misleading ones earlier. Another reason is that the communication is also being designed at the moment. Maniaplanet is great but needs good communication for people to understand it well. So, I think that releasing screenshots into the wild will be less effective than making proper announcement. Our goal is to communicate on both sides: directly to the players and also with the press. It requires us to wait a little with players, but it is not bad since it will reduce the time to wait between screenshots and the release ^_^
Actually you could post a picture of the studio where you're working on the game or just anything relating to it - and everybody would be excited. Think of it. ;)

However, nice to see you're way more community orientated than I am accustomed by the BattleForge developers, unfortunatly I haven't been around in the english forums with Trackmania 1, only been active in the german deepsilver forums, but that will change with Maniaplanet. I guess not only me but many people will support this game and work for new content - just take the time you need.

Last wish: Please don't release the Beta shortly before my exams (starting in february) - that would kill me. xD

It will be a private Beta, the chances that you or me plays it is over 1/1000. ;)

The chances that a normal player will play the Beta are maybe way less...but hey, who's a normal player? ;)

You have right but, Kaldra is not just a player, he is a important Person in the German Community!
(That's my opinion)

And i think that Nadeo-Team chose the Player from each country. ( I hope so )
People who live in France have not much chance to the Beta i think, because is a big Community with Important People.

And i hope that Persons from old TMUF Beta are considered.
And now have Kaldra more chancen than 1/1000 !

Example: Player: Insomnia, he is not just a TM Player.. He is the founder of et-generation.com
FACT: This is only a presumption from me, What the NADEO-Team will do, knows nobody right now
Sorry for my bad English !

Not that important I think...just doing something from everything, nothing highly engaged or known by now.^^
However, I wasn't speaking about taking part in the Beta only - of course I would appreciate it, not only cause I'd like to play (who doesn't?^^) but mainly to help improving the game - when I finally got in the TMU Beta last time most bugs were cleared and it was mostly about testing server stability with many players...
I think when the Beta comes around there will be more news, too - that wouldn't be that good for my exams as well. ;)

Btw: About your example: I know Insomnia pretty well from the BattleForge community. ;)

I think there will be like 500keys distributed over the world. and each of them has 10invitation (each of them 2 invitation). (thats a guess)
"Normal Players" like me won't have Beta Key at first "round" But "normal players" have hope if they have Highly ranked friends. (I don't Think thats my Case).

I think the guys who will be in the Beta test will be like:

Famous Manialinks Creators.
Officiel Forums Moderators.
Some of the past Beta Tester.
Big Competition admins.
Represents of A Community (like TMForever.dk or TMchile.cl)
Peoples Newsin' (Tm actu, TM TV)
And Maybe good Game Testers.

If you are in that list, GL&HF on TM2 :P
(I Didn't want to say names so try to make and idea of who I am talking about.)

And of course, Beta testers is a Job, not a game(But it can be fun  ) you have to find bugs and report them, suggest and all that stuff.

Huh, thats only my opinion. and I never made Closed Beta test, so don't shout on me if what I said was wrong.

Maybe there will be some way that the newcomers can convince the developers that are good game testers :D
