These are all around the 1/8th Earth gravity range but could be interesting for environments:
Io: 0.183 x Earth
Europa: 0.133 x Earth
Ganymede: 0.144 x Earth
Callisto: 0.126 x Earth
You might need rockets or jets just to hold the car on the ground though.
I agree with YonCan that a ET enviro could be very unique and creative.
I also like what Andrus said about an "environment toolkit" although I'm not sure how that would work.
Alter-Fox: I think Nadeo could do it in a good way. They have intelligent creativity. Take the turbo blocks in Stadium for instance. They look like they have turbines that move air giving the car a boost. Or the "Electromagnetic Accelerators" (or whatever they really are) in Canyon. They look like something that might in some theory actually work. Point is, Nadeo seem to think about that kind of stuff. A good balance of "Make it realistic but keep it fun".
Who knows, if we get into a Space Environment we could even have mini Wormholes that warp you from one part of the map to another through linked "Stargates".

That's a cool idea!Demented wrote:we could even have mini Wormholes that warp you from one part of the map to another through linked "Stargates".

Back from the first post:

For me a cool environment would be one that is a bit like TMU's bay, island and snow - all about the grip handling and reflexes, canyon, stadium and even the upcoming valley are a lot "slower" than those three. About the surfaces and scenery, for example a basic town with houses, roads and so on.
Whatever they will make, it has to be nolifeable, but not too easy!
Ever tried Original/United's "Snow/alpine"..?SNOW/ICE: ........ Rally Car or Truck. Hard packed snow roads, Soft snow, Banked turns, Ice & Frozen lakes.

Maybe "Dunes?" Like sand dunes? Or has that already been proposed? And I'm talking like desert/huge beach dunes, not like the dirt tracks in TMN. Which are nice. But this would be different.

Yes, I've played them all. Been a fan from the very beginning, but physics in TM have come a long way since then. The Snow environment was fun for it's time and the graphics still stand the test of time in my opinion, but something with more traction and acceleration in snow and ice and a bit less traction on roads would be nice. Also a vehicle that could roll over and rotate in the air would be cool. The physics in Desert, Rally and Snow are very outdated. A new version of Snow/Alpine would be awesome I think.Wormii wrote:Ever tried Original/United's "Snow/alpine"..?
Try this and see what I mean: Play Snow/Alpine then drive a Dirt 3 snow track. Or just look at THIS
There's a big difference.
I like the idea of dunes too. Maybe a desert with dunes that is near coast dunes too like the Namib desert.
Or what about an environment that was Jungle bordering Desert Dunes bordering Sea?

Dirt3 looks quite good. It seems though it has quite tricky handling?
I used to love Snow in Sega Rally. It would be great to have something like this with "slightly" better handling. The video I refer to is really the first that came up on you-tube. It's not the best lap.

Not really. That driver just wasn't very good and there were much better cars. Must have been early on in the game.zarexz wrote:Dirt3 looks quite good. It seems though it has quite tricky handling?
I remember Sega Rally too. It was fun.
Point is, Nadeo is capable now of doing a snow environment that could be really cool.

Re: What new Environment would you like to see?
I need a city environment.
Bay was a city - based on Hong Kong - but I will like a "Las Vegas style". A lot of lights and a lot of casino ads.
Must be a madness driving destroying poker tables.
