Small Feedback:
Solomode: The maps are very nice designed, not like TMNF. Too much Dirt in my opinion or maybe to many maps with dirt Parts. I have the feeling that few Checkpoints are "bad placed" if you want respawn. I think these are the "best" Nadeo campange maps which I drove.

New Blocks: Well, these blocks are quite ok, but some "connections block" should redesigned as "road". This would make it easyier and faster to build turns or a crossroad. These Blocks remind me on the old F-zero challenges where you have ice-road-ice parts.^^

Note: it would be nice If you can play the solomaps "offline" to earn some Medals..^^

wouldn´t it be a good time to end the freezone on TMNF and make it paid only like TM2 Stadium? So people would not have the option to stay there for free.

I don't understand the disappointment of some people who say they expected more. I'm happy with the update, because it's more than I expected. Nadeo announced a complete set of official tracks and some new blocks (that we could preview in a part of a video). It's all there. And when I entered the editor after the update, I was positively surprised by the big variety of the new block set with cool transitions to the existing block sets of Stadium, much more than we could see in the video (and some nice additions to old block sets :) ). Thank you, Nadeo, great job! :thx:

Obviously, different expectations led to different perceptions of the update. I'm sorry for the guys who expected too much, but that's not Nadeo's fault. ;)

The thing I'm most happy about besides the new blocks and campaign is that you can actually now navigate the menus with a gamepad (as opposed to the beta, although it's been a while since I played that), and that I now get rumble on my 360 pad... :)

Also, if Nadeo added a way to skip the launcher when running the game from Steam shouldn't the game(s) now qualify for the "Big Picture support" category?

I guess the other guy with all the medals is a Nadeo employee (I hope so :D ). Actually I only spent around 4h getting all the medals
I finished around 15 minutes after you, so it might have been me.

Anyway, the maps were all nice and diverse, but I would have liked to see a couple of normal race tracks as well.
I don't think I saw any tracks without any strange jumps or transitions. Maybe a dirt track, but dirt is pretty random in itself.

For example the little bounces from those white rooftops that come with one of the dirt blocks, or some water bounces that act differently every run, things like that can be a bit annoying if you're hunting for the official times. I did enjoy some of these tricky parts however, like the zig-zag part on that black rooftop.

Since I only ever touch the solo campaign once, it doesn't really bother me, just saying what my thoughts were while trying to complete it. I think these maps do a good job of introducing the new player to the track editor, so good job on that part.

I'm in the same boat my friend. Unfortunately it still doesn't work for me in the multiplayer menu. I can only select to create a server or go back.

There is a way to skip the launcher by going to Program Files/ManiaPlanet and opening ManiaPlanet.exe instead of the launcher. Also make sure you selected single profile in the launcher to directly launch the game without having to select a profile.

I don't think there is a way to skip the launcher with steam? It's a real shame because I've been big into steam big picture mode recently and being able to do everything with your controller is so handy.

The thing is that for Open Beta Testers what could justify to spend 10€ ? Hd textures and light ? New blocks that we don't even know about since they are only accessible now ?

Maniaplanet features like this are nice, but they do not justify the lack of a proper free version at release, because with your system of regular improvements people WILL buy the full version when they feel like it is worth the price compared to tmnf, and lots of people don't believe this right now.

That's why there will be a demo version later. You can try out the new features and decide whether to buy or not.
