From experience of other shooting games, What game modes do you like?

I personally like and would like to see:
Free For All
Team Death Match
Capture The Flag
Squad Death Match
Conquest
Rush

However this is all dependant on what type of game Nadeo turn SM into

i guess, 3 modes will be surely in:
- team deathmatch (team vs team)
- deathmath / free for all (1vs1vs1...)
- a mode where you have to place a bomb or anything like that

sorry for the large post. It's just that I have always wanted an easy to use FPS maker that had good graphics and both multiplayer and single player maps.

I don't care about style... you can carebear it up, make mini lego people shooting paintballs. as long as I can make single player maps that no one can beat.

I also like the idea of realism in war games... but that is for the people that can create good skins.

I see all you guys think a FPS game has to be something like call of duty or cs. That's completly wrong.
What about map-makers? There has to be more to it than just "shooting things up".

I'll re-post my words from the "Ideas thread".
I think the concept is gonna be "challenge for the brain" (puzzle). Like HalfLife-series or Portal. For example, you have to reach something within the map (think tacticly). Wouldn't something like that be awesome? :D

But i'm sure there's gonna be multiple mods. What about a timeattack-mode where you have to get in the goal as fast as possible while shooting most of the enemies. Or shoot your way through the track moving in a path made by author (shooting tactical spots to clear or open further down the road).

Possibilities are endless...

i agree with russianx, the levels of creativity are infinite.

puzzle levels
stealth levels
fun with physics levels
demolition levels
maps that are just for artistic reasons

not to mention the E3 presentation the icons were mixing... dragons were roasting the race cars and the shooters were shooting at the cars.

if you culd mix the manias in one map... A shooter where you could blow up a dragon then get into your car and do a stunt track to capture the flag.

And agree with Hylis (mine was just an idea to suggest ;) like always)
I think you played to fps games when we was younger, you remember???
Jump, click mouse, jump, jump, click mouse and launch mouse in the air when the challenger kill you, ahahah!!
Was really fun the first time we played to it, but now??? I know you will develope something really fantastic, cause you have the editor (the secret weapon), but for the gameplay something special must will be there!
Do you think someone will do a community based on shot, shot, jump, jump, respawn, oh my god i was killed while respwan???? I don't think so.

To MikePurdy : Well Mike, i don't wanna be a teacher, but, today, with coding, there are some trick to show millions of players online without lag: dividing the map in sections, hiding too far away players out of the range, etc, etc...

Is sure each game must have a single player campaign, but i think, just like tutorial to understand commands.
The NET is the key. I will not buy SM to play alone.

This can be great, while racing i see Mike shooting Zooz under the bridge i'm crossing with the car, ahuauu, nice!
