Just curious... FZ has a free players spec one out of every 5 rounds (not challenges), right? Seems with that limitation, there's no reason to run a FZ server in rounds as a free player would be forced to spec a round out of nearly every track, thus limiting their scores versus tmu players.
I'd suppose one out of every five challenges would be better if that's the chosen method, though I'm fairly positive all forced specs would just abandon the server and race elsewhere (judging by the amounts that do the same on a much shorter time attack round).
Guess there's just no perfect solution... All of these restrictions will continue just to make things harder for us server ops, while players can easily find ways around them.

Its every 5 Challenges...not Rounds. The spec-Duration is one complete challenge too, no matter how many rounds it takes to finish.

It correct the bug for round and cup servers, now you can play 5 challenges in a row before going in spec.

It would be simpler to ask the following:
Why only Xaseco has compatibility with the Manialive plugin?
Other less known systems and/or least used (FAST, TRUCK MMX, Gery) has no relevance to developers of Manialive?
If the answer is Yes, please make it clear to us. After all I think we don't have time to spend configuring and racking my brain to adjust systems that inevitably will not work correctly with the plugin and you will be answering questions that won't actually help in the end.
We must remember that even though less used, they are stable, reliable, and also meet very well its function of managing time in Trackmania. The world does not revolve only around Xaseco.
Last question (confirm with a "smiley"): the Manialive is already a beta pro TM2, right? The intention is to standardize the management of time and records for the new game and "burying" the development and creation of alternative managers, correct?

Xaseco has nothing to do with ManiaLive, nor with Freezone.
The plugin that helps ManiaLive and Xaseco work together is not made by ManiaLive developpers/Nadeo, but by a community member.
You should read this
If you want your favourite controller to be compatible with freezone, nobody stops you.
And i think the purpouse of ManiaLive is not to bury the development of other controlers, but to make sure that at launch something fully functional is already at hand.
All Nadeo's creations are very open sourced and development from the community is always welcomed and supported, servercontrollers included.
Now, i don't speak for Nadeo, so they will correct me if i'm wrong.
